We grow our own kikuyu right here in Albany, in the same conditions it'll live in once it's at your place. That means roots that take, grass that handles our summers, and a lawn that's tough enough for kids, dogs, and the inevitable cricket games out the back.
You've got two options to choose from. Roll-on kikuyu is delivered, laid, and walked on the same weekend — instant results with almost no babysitting. Shredded kikuyu costs a fraction of the price, takes 6–8 weeks to come good, and rewards a bit of patience and regular watering. Not sure which one suits your yard? Pro tip: The biggest mistake we see is skipping the prep. Compacted ground and persistent weeds undo even the best turf. We loosen the top 100–150mm, level it slightly below paths and edges, add quality lawn mix for drainage, and spread Lawn Launcher before laying. Get the base right and the lawn looks after itself.
